This Mother’s Day Starter Kid includes:

1 Cedar or Birch Round stained with Tung Oil 

1 copper reinforced jute rope

6 Spring Nesting Blend Seed Cakes

1 Slate Coaster Engraved with our Hummingbird Design and the word you choose from our options. Looking for a name not listed? Message us and we’ll make it custom for you!

To use: Remove the wood round from the box and straighten out the wire rope. Slide 3 seed cakes onto the wire and hang! The paper shredding can be shaken off the seed cakes and then recycled with your other paper.

The seed cakes are made with our new Spring Nesting Blend which includes extra Bark Butter Bits from Wild Birds Unlimited to increase the protein content of our seed cakes. Extra protein is perfect for our new Mama birds who need to feed their young! This bundle is a great value to start your bird feeding journey!

To use: Remove the Hanging feeder from the compostable packaging and hang! To refill, pinch the wire hanger together at the top and slide the cakes on. We recommend putting 3 cakes at a time on your feeder for optimal bird accessibility.

Natural Cedar rounds may have cracks which are normal to the drying process of cedar. The design of our hanging feeder prevents the cedar rounds from falling off even if cracked all the way to the center circle! No worries about your cedar base falling off!

Our seed cakes use high quality no mess, no grow seeds. This means no extra plants popping up under your bird feeder and no seed shells left on the ground! Any seed that falls to the ground will be eaten by our ground feeder birds! The jute rope may be used by birds for nesting material or may be disposed of in a wooded area or garden waste as the jute will breakdown and go back to the earth.
